Smallchat is a simple web chat integration for Slack. It empowers users to talk to their site’s visitors in real time through a single channel on their team’s Slack account. It was created in collaboration with some of my incredibly talented friends at Nicer. My involvement was focused on the onboarding process, marketing and launch.
Readabill.com is a nonpartisan website I created with Aeryk Payne. We've published the original text of all bills and executive orders signed by the President since January 1, 2017. We add no political commentary of our own. Our purpose is to make bills readable for everyone because the best republic is an informed public.
My wife, Alyssa Guerrero, is a lettering artist and illustrator. She and I collaborated on this project. We worked together to form the list for what she’d letter. Alyssa then decided on a style and hand lettered a set of 18 words and phrases. Then I created and published the simple app.
My wife and I also created a hyperlocal sticker pack for iMessage. Alyssa created beautiful illustrations of landmarks in Greenville, South Carolina, and I put together the sticker pack in Xcode and published it on the App Store. Greenville: Illustrated Sticker was received well and continues to be downloaded by locals.
The day Apple launched the iPhone 7 sans headphone jack, my friends and I launched Apple Plug, a parody product and gorilla marketing campaign. Adweek, The Verge, The Atlantic and 60 other publications wrote about Apple Plug. We were trending on Twitter and hit the front pages of Reddit, Imgur and Product Hunt. We leveraged the buzz to launch Nicer Studio.
