New to Cooking

Tonight, I cooked. Of course I've made food before, but just the basics—omlettes, sandwiches, cereal. Tonight I decided to go a little bit more difficult. I made orange chicken, rice, and vegetables.

I know that's not a huge deal to real cooks, but it was a lot for me. I definitely should have timed things out better, and I don't think pita bread is the best match for that meal. But I did it, and it turned out ok.

Now that I live on my own, I need to learn how to make good food. Any cooking suggestions from all you master chefs out there?
