Holidays & Guests

All important things take time (often from other important things). When holidays come around we take time away from work and routine and use it to commemorate the past and look forward to the future. We honor others for their sacrifices. We remind ourselves of truths that help us through the mundane, and we spend time with those we love.

On this past holiday weekend, I decided to take time away from blogging and spend it with family and friends in the Carolinas. I ate meals, played games, laughed, swam and talked. At first I was a bit disappointed with myself for not posting, but looking back, I used my time well. The trip was well worth the money, the flight and the time.

Because there will always be holidays, sick days and busy days and because I hope to spend my time most wisely, I will be having some friends and family write guest posts. I’ve spoken to several people already, and I am excited to see what they come up with. Some will post on topics I suggest. While others have their own stories or ideas they want share. Keep an eye out for the first guest post coming later this week!

If you’d like to contribute or have topic you think I should cover, please comment below. I’d love to hear your ideas.
